Retail Store Merchandising Application Users

This design artifact was created as part of a project to help a retail supply chain client improve their current merchandise order management software and discover opportunities for new feature development.
We conducted field observations of retail store employees to better understand how they used the client's current application suite, what other applications they used to manage their store merchandising efforts, and what pain points they experienced both within and outside the software they used.
This artifact represents our quick-turn summary of the results of a single visit. For this project we generated 16 separate quick-turn reports, which we then used to draw conclusions and make recommendations for product and feature design.
The data and analysis we conducted provided our client's product management stakeholders with profiles for the key set of user types. This research enabled the product team to further validate the business case for the new product and generate actionable requirements for the design and development teams.
